BRANDING WORKBOOK

What does brand even mean anyway?

One way of defining a brand is that it’s your company’s core values, mission, purpose, and benefits all boiled down to form a single essence. That essence has a look and feel that conveys these attributes to the end user. The brand is also the story created in the mind of the end user of the product or service you’re providing in relation to the experience they have with you and your business.

For example, a Patagonia coat is not just an article of clothing simply intended to keep a person warm and dry. It also helps express that person’s core values, such as responsible, capable, stylish, athletic, and healthy.

You want to clearly understand and communicate your brand so potential clients who identify with your values will easily find and connect with you in order to make your business part of their story.

Part of the branding process is to create a logo and graphics that support the essence of your business and the story it creates. The logo should communicate your brand, at a glance, to anyone who sees it.

These questions are intended to help you achieve clarity about your business (or project) and communicate it to me so I can create artwork with this framework in mind.
